( Buffy sets the phone down on the mantle of the fire place in her suite. It's not to her taste - needlessly too luxurious, but it's hers. And she has something to say. She's talked it over with Xander, with Faith, and with Allison.
They're stuck. The vampire who could help them knows less than they do and once again history is not on anybody's side. Just once she wishes there was social media in the olden days. Maybe there'd be a status update with information they and Caroline need.
Anyway, she can play island general - or, cat herder. )
Is it -- okay, I think I'm live. So. Hi. For those of you that don't know me, I'm Buffy. I thought maybe those of us who've just arrived, maybe it would benefit us to compare notes? I know most of us were at the party and they saw the -- wall of memories best forgotten -- and ... is it true other people have forgotten things? A friend of mine forgot a friend of his, who died. That's not something easily forgotten.
So, I just want to take stock. We all know this is an island. That it's magic. That everyone has a different idea of what is here, and that nothing is made or order right. I know that last part is probably lower on the Greek totem pole of frustration, but I actually think I might have a solution?
I know the last thing any of us asked for when we got here was a job. Some of us are actually on our jobs. But, we're cut off from everyone. My friends and I, we had a way home and -- well, we can't get back. So. I thought, along with note comparing, general commiseration and the inevitable interrupting, maybe we can lay out a skill we all have? We could take bartending or restaurant or even shop shifts -- you know, if there are the others of us that... need something. Again, lower down on the priority list but still good to think about.
So, I'm going to reply to this message, just so that there's a specific - thread? That people can approach me - with my skills.
And then you guys, you can share yours. Skills, notions, thoughts. Experiences. The better we get a handle of what's going on here, the better we'll be at handling what comes next.
( And with that, she defiantly holds her position before -- realizing she needs to end the feed so she breaks her regal pose and ... leans forward, tilts her head. How does she. OH. And there. The feed cuts out. )
